Het gevest is gebeiteld met voornamelijk ruiters en paarden: een ajour bewerkt paard op de vuistbeugel, groteske maskers in de vorm van een hondenkop en op de stootplaat groepen ruiters, bovenop in bas-relïef, onderop in hoogreliëf; de greep is omwonden met een authentieke greepwikkeling van koperdraad met aan weerszijden gevlochten greepringen.
