Deerpark Court Tomb, Sligo
Located 6km east of Sligo Town, Deerpark Court Tomb (SMR No. SL015-050----) is an Irish National Monument and one of the largest megalithic tombs in County Sligo. Constructed of limestone, the court tomb remains measure approximately 15m in length and was probably constructed around 3,500 BC during the Neolithic Period.

- Capture Technology: Trimble TX8 Terrestrial Laser Scanner (Level 2 Setting). Capture date 03/03/2023. Real word location Trimble R8 GNSS TLS Pre processing: Trimble Realworks 11.3 (Target based registration (27 targets residual error 1.1012mm - 0.251mm) and Global registration using GNSS data), Export as E57 format. Mesh Processing: Reality Capture v1.3 - High poly mesh cleaned and checked for topological errors. High polygon mesh exported as .obj (64,000,000 polygons). Mesh simplified to 350K polygons and smoothed (Strong, weight 0.1, 10 iterations). Low poly model exported as .obj (377,200 polygons). Texturing: Unwrapping of mesh (3DS Max 2023). Production of primary UVW texture maps (Normal, Ambient Occlusion, Position, Height, Cavity, Curvature) by baking High polygon detail using Marmoset Toolbag v4. 8K Texture - Combination of photo texture (Reality Capture v1.3 - Photo-consistency based) and synthetic stone smart material (Substance Painter v7.3).; Laser scanning; Mesh cleaning; Mesh processing; Mesh simplification (decimation); Photogrammetry; Structure-from-motion (SFM)
