Weibliche Alphabetisierung im Mitte

Die Alphabetisierung der Frauen war im Mittelalter überraschend hoch. Nonnen waren Schriftsteller und Schriftgelehrte. Viele andere Frauen ermutigten zum Lesen und Lernen, besonders edle Frauen. Ein Beispiel war Christine de Pizan, eine Dichterin am Hofe von König Karl VI. von Frankreich.
