The author was interned on March 20, 1944, who had boarded the train in Budapest at Keleti Railway Station and wanted to visit her husband working in Győr. Although she was three-month pregnant, but as nobody noticed this in Auschwitz, she was selected to work. She worked int he Bernsdorf Textile Factory in the Czech Republic over the summer.
