To display resources on Europeana, we use links to the cultural heritage institution at which the digital resources are hosted. The main reason that items are not accessible is that the links to the resources are broken (read this article for more details). Europeana has a process to check and repair broken links, so if you discover one, please report it using the feedback button. If it is not possible to repair the link, the items may be taken offline. Since this process can take a few months, sometimes you might notice items not being accessible for an extended period of time (read this article for more details).

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee if or when the changes will be made, as this is at the discretion of the providing institution.

Our website gives you digital access to millions of cultural heritage items from cultural heritage institutions across Europe. We don't own or sell these items and cannot help you with your query. However, the institution that provided this item may be able to help you. How could I reuse the resources on Europeana?

We predominantly write our editorial content, blog posts and exhibitions in English. If available, the content will be shown in the selected language.
