Invasive Species: Tree of heaven

Ailanthus altissima was imported to England from Eastern Asia in the 16th century and was brought to the mainland from there. It is now well established in Europe and prefers a warmer climate. Climate change enhances its distribution. It threatens local biodiversity and causes infrastructural damages. Its components may evoke allergic reactions, breathing problems and rashes.
