Sutton Creek Martello Tower
Martello tower, c.1805, granite rubble walls, on a circular plan with tapered profile, having machicolation supported by brackets over entrance door. Raised extension to roof, c.1990.APPRAISAL:map ref. 3200/17 'H': built as a response to the Napleonic Wars. 'T': fortification. 'G': 16 Martello towers to south of Dublin with 11 to North.
