Ivory Gyldensteen reliquary cross
This reliquary cross is made in two pieces, which, when put together, form a box in the shape of a crucifix, perhaps to contain a relic of the true cross. The front depicts the figure of Christ on the cross under the hand of God. Christ's foot overhangs the frame and the finely carved loin-cloth falls below the knee.
