Kerbstone 13, Knowth (Photo Texture)
Kerbstone 13 is located on the outer edge of the largest megalithic tomb at Knowth, County Meath, Ireland (ME019-030001-). The main face appears to have been carved in 3 stages:
1) Incised lines were carved into the face.
2) These were later covered with picked motifs, made with a variety of pointed tools. These picked motifs include lozenges on the top left, with two anticlockwise spirals below …
