Provenance
- Capture Technology: SfM Photogrammetry using Canon EOS 5D MkIV DSLR & 50mm f/1.4 lens & Godox AR400 Ring flash, X-Rite colour calibration card, calibrated photogrammetric scale bar. Images captured in Canon RAW format. Capture date 27/03/2024 Image Pre Processing: ColorChecker Camera Calibration v2.3.0 & Adobe RAW 14.4 - Generation of calibrated texture images and high contrast SfM alignment images in jpeg format. Photogrammetric processing: Reality Capture v1.4 Alignment Settings: Image overlap - low, Detector sensitivity High, Distortion model - Brown3 with tangential2 . Mesh creation using "High detail" setting. Mesh Processing: Reality Capture v1.4 - High poly mesh cleaned and checked for topological errors. High polygon mesh exported as .obj (60,000,000 polygons). Mesh simplified to 50K polygons and smoothed (Strong, weight 0.1, 10 iterations). Low poly model exported as .obj (50,000 polygons). Texturing: Unwrapping of mesh (3DS Max 2024). Production of primary UVW texture maps (Normal, Ambient Occlusion, Position, Height, Cavity, Curvature) by baking High polygon detail using Marmoset Toolbag v4. 8K Texture - Hyper realistic photo texture (Reality Capture v1.4 - Photo-consistency based).; Mesh cleaning; Mesh processing; Mesh retopology; Mesh simplification (decimation); Photogrammetry; Structure-from-motion (SFM)
