Raphaël, Abel Ribeau was born on August 12, 1894 in Pauillac. A plumber by profession, he was mobilized at the start of the Great War and joined the 9th infantry regiment in Agen, then the 2nd aviation group in Lyon. Wounded twice, on June 4, 1915 and December 14, 1916, he was then sent back to the air force and demobilized on September 7, 1919. He died on January 6, 1923.
