Johann Schmitz is released from POW
The sergeant and bearer of the Iron Cross II. Class Johann Schmitz was released on January 30, 1920 from French captivity. He was captured in Lombray on August 18, 1918. He was interned in the Is-sur-Tille prison camp and had prisoner of war number 2537. On January 30, 1920, he was released to Aachen.
