Paul Ueberschär, "Wehrmann", Hamburg-Blankenese, Feldpostkarten & Notizbuch
Notebook and postcards by a soldier who served from 1915-1918 and served in France, Belgium, Hungary, Romania, Italy. On the 29th September 1918 he was back in France, where he died and was buried in Comines, to be re-enterred near Arras.
My great-grandfather Paul Ueberschär from Hamburg-Blankenese experienced the First World War as a soldier almost from the beginning to the end. He probably fell shortly before the end of the war. Unfortunately, no details are known about his life as a soldier. The field postcards uploaded here and excerpts from the war notebook are the only things that have survived from him.
