Filled Door, Ostia
Late filling of a door linking a shop and an apartment in Ostia, Domus del Ninfeo (III, VI, 1-3); 3rd-4th century AD? The filling is characterised by second-hand material (bricks, tesseare of tufa, slabs of travertine) assembled in an incoherent manner. Photograph taken from the apartment. On the right are remains of the wall plaster.
