Effigy at Sheinton, Shropshire
The item is a cutting from the Archaeological Journal (see Bibliography).The engraving showing a 'miniature' effigy found under the font at Sheinton Church. It shows a figure (?female) in a long unbelted robe and a kerchief, holding a book. The effigy is thought to be of early fourteenth century date.
