Feathered dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period
Feathered dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period
Bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs are the ancestors of birds. A subgroup of them, the maniraptorans already possessed features, which later would become typical for birds: they were warm-blooded, had feathers, a furcula in the shoulder-girdle and a certain flexibility of arms and hands, which enable birds to flex their wings.
