Malign Muses : when fashion turns back
Malign Muses looked at how contemporary fashion is possessed by the past as a disturbing muse. It shows a repertoire of repetitions, both imploring and idealised. We never entirely know our muses and their effect is always unpredictable. In this exhibition we looked for clues in the details of the dresses themselves. As we get to understand the rules, we also discover what connects the dresses.
