The Norwegian island of Spitsbergen: polar bears in summer
Without ice there are no polar bears - a couple of years ago scientists were convinced that climate change would threaten animal populations in the Arctic. But currently in Spitsbergen polar bears outnumber human beings - and this despite rising temperatures.
