Frankish cemetery discovered
Weeknummer 51-05
During the widening of the road from Utrecht to Arnhem, an old Frankish cemetery was found during excavation work near Rhenen. Officials of the National Service for Archaeological Research investigate the site and find various objects. The finds are cleaned and restored in the laboratory of the department in Amersfoort. On display are coins, earthenware, glassware and jewellery.
