Loaf of 26.5 metres
Weeknummer 69-10
In the cooperative bakery Heerlen, a loaf of bread measuring 26.5 metres is made, setting a new world record. The dough is placed in a long form. After rising, the mould is pushed into an 18m oven, where it comes out baked on the other side. The bread is transported on a trailer under police escort to Valkenburg, where it is sold at a trade fair in the Eurohal. The proceeds go to charity.
