A THREATENED LANGUAGE
SERIES TITLE: Actual
The situation of Catalan in the Sardinian city of Alghero is very weak. The language is not taught in schools and most of the young people there speak Italian. Algherese is seen as a language spoken by the elderly and for use at country festivals and in the home.
