Nagygéc - abandonned

SERIES TITLE: Devastated villages

After the 1970 flood disaster at the Szamos river, authorities have banned all construction on the area where lied the Hungarian village of Nagygéc. This has led to a depopulation of the village. Although the ban was lifted in 1993, real life never returned to the village.
