SCIENCE ON THE BEACH
SERIES TITLE: What Who How
Program on the coastline, a border between land and sea environments. Pere Renom sails on a patí Catalan, a small catamaran, the only sailboat not steered by a rudder, invented 80 years ago in Badalona. The program explains what minerals are found in the sand on the Catalan coast and how it is being swept away from the beaches. Also shown are some of the organisms that live in coastal waters.
