In the Drawing-room at Haiko
Albert Edelfelt spent many summers at the country manor of Haiko, not far from Helsinki, where he combined work with family life, as is clearly demonstrated in this painting. With a few rapid brush strokes he conveys the gathering for a meal. Today, Edelfelt’s studio by the manor is a museum.
