First Irish National Surfing Championships
The first Irish National Surfing Championships were held in Tramore, Co Waterford in 1967 following the establishment of the Surf Club Of Ireland in 1966. The Surf Club of Ireland, which later became Irish Surfing, the National Governing Body of Surfing today, was initiated by Bray man, Kevin Cavey.
