Carbohydrate-modified magnetic nanoparticles for radical scavenging
Maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) nanoparticles, 12 nm in size, were prepared by co-precipitation of Fe(II) and Fe(III) chlorides with ammonium hydroxide and oxidation with hydrogen peroxide.
