Cathedral stained glass window
Stained glass window from 1865 from the St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, depicting St. John the Baptist. Below the figures: St. Ludmila, St. Methodius and the Czech prince Wenceslaus I Saint.The cathedral itself was founded in 1344 by John of Luxembourg and his son Charles IV on the site of the Romanesque rotunda. The cathedral is 124 m long, 33 m high, and the main tower is 96.5 m high.
