Woman’s Jacket
Chintz jackets were popular items of clothing both for daily use and as traditional costume especially in Friesland and Groningen. In the western part of the Netherlands such jackets were also worn by townspeople. From the back of the jacket it is clear to see that the cut was fitted to the decorative pattern: the flower with feather-like leaves fanning out is exactly in the centre.
