Wedding dress of flowered silk
In the 18th century brides wore dresses in light shades of blue, yellow, and pink or with fashionable woven or embroidered patterns. Only royal brides wore (silvery) white on their wedding day. This dress consists of a robe and a skirt, both embellished
with ruffled flounces of the same material.
