Epistolae per Franciscum Aretinum latine translatae
The letters written in Greek by Pseudo Phalaris were translated into Latin by Francesco Griffolini from Arezzo (hence Aretinus) who was born in 1420 and died before 1490. Around the year 1448, Griffolini settled in Rome where he undertook the study of rhetoric under Lorenzo Valla. He dedicated the corpus of the 138 letters to Malatesta Novello, lord of Cesena.
