De rerum natura.
Start of Book I with blue decorative initial against backdrop of green drapery: A(eneadum genetrix); lines 1-32. In top left corner, a part border of white vine-stem scroll issuing from a blue vase. In lower margin, a small altar with the inscription ‘Aeternum Felix’, flanked by putti blowing trumpets. Above the altar is a roundel with Tiptoft’s arms and scrolls with motto, ‘Ad Astram tendimus’.
