Urban renewal program: Schnoor Quarter (Schnoorviertel), Bremen
Schnoorviertel is the only quarter of Bremen which was kept nearly on its whole after WWII. In 1959 the government started with a program to restore the old buildings. This and private initiative led to the achieved revitalization of the whole quarter.
