Orationes

These orations were written by Francesco Filelfo (1398-1481), an Italian Renaissance humanist and an indefatigable Latin and Greek scholar of vast erudition. He was invited to lecture in a number of Italian cities, most notably Venice, Milan, Rome and Florence. This volume consists of orations written on occasions such as marriages and funerals.
