Shovel
A ‘Devon shovel’ is a tool which combines the functions of a spade and a shovel, and was used widely in Devon, Cornwall and Wales (where it is known as a ‘Welsh shovel’) for digging and shovelling. This spade was supplied by, and probably made by, Finch Brothers of Sticklepath, Devon, circa 1945–6.
