MONTSERRAT: COMPLETION OF THE LAST VOLUME OF THE POPULAR SONGBOOK

Historian Josep Massot has prepared the 21st and final volume in the Collection of Popular Songs of Catalonia, a major work to restore the rich heritage of folk songs sung from 1922-1936. The originals of this important collection have been on deposit at the Montserrat Abbey since 1990, where they arrived after long years of exile in Switzerland after the Civil War.
