Gold and enamel ring of Mary, Queen of Scots
The drawing shows different views of a an extremely elaborate ring of gold and enamel of 16th-century date. The bezel is supported by two caryatids, and bears a gem on the lid of a compartment which opens to reveal a winged heart in the lid and clasped hands in the base.
