Theropod tracks are sometimes viewed as lacking much morphological variation owing to the conservatism of the theropod foot. A review of the Mesozoic track record for this group, with special reference to the western United States shows that this is not the case, and that the theropod tracks are quite diverse in comparison with the tracks of other groups.
