Hair ornaments

The Trio men wear their hair long. At the front and along the temples they cut their hair square. The men tie their hair together at the back and fix a tube around the tail they have obtained. This tube used to be made of palm leaf and was decorated with feathers, toucan's beaks and shells which dangled on their backs. The tube could also be covered with jaguar skin or beads like these.
