Neolithic, Ground and Polished Stone axe, HCA 123
This dolerite axehead (L 11.7 x W 7.3cm) has a total thickness of 3cm and weighs 478g. It has a symmetrical cross-section and damaged edge shape. Its blade is asymmetrical and its butt is rounded almost flat. The blade, sides, butt and faces are ground and polished. The sides are broad and rounded and slightly splaying.
