Andenken aus Oostende
A Belgian prayerbook and a pipe from Oostende kept by a German soldier.
These pictures are about Albert Schwartz, the grandfather of the participant. Albert Hahn was a hairdresser in Kiel. He served as a sea soldier in Oostende (Belgium). From there he brought not only many photos (see: http://www.europeana1914-1918.eu/de/contributions/1205) but also two souvenirs - a Belgian prayer book with the title "Salve Regina" from Langemarck - on the inside cover is written: "…
