Vizefeldwebel Balthasar Hieber

Balthasar Hieber, was the grandfather of the participant. He was born on February 25, 1891, in 1912 he enlisted in the army. He belonged to the 3rd Corps, 5th Company Inf.-Regt. "Kaiser Friedrich" (7th Württ.) No. 125, Stuttgart. He served in France, Russia and Italy and was eventually promoted to vice sergeant. He died on December 31, 1975.
