Bowl
This turned wooden bowl is made of elm, one of the most common woods used in bowl turning. It was made by George Lailey, a bowl turner of Bucklebury, Berkshire, circa 1945–6. George Lailey turned wooden bowls using a pole lathe in his hut at Turner's Green, on Bucklebury Common, until 1958.
