In an ancient burning-place in the Kermeter charcoal-burners raise a charcoal-pile as it was used up to the seventies. First the base of the pile, the so-called sole, is levelled and measured. Then the cone-shaped stack of wood, composed of two sets and the head, is built up and covered with the jacket, a layer of leaves and a layer of earth.
