Ishtar Gate
The Ishtar Gate was a magnificent entrance to the ancient city of Babylon, located in present-day Iraq. Built by King Nebuchadnezzar II around 569 BC, it was the eighth gate leading into the inner city. The gate was part of a grand processional way that extended into the city.
