Christmas 1914 tin
A brass tin given to British troops serving in the First World War as a gift commemorating Christmas 1914. The tins, which were distributed following a public appeal launched by the Princess Mary for donations to the "Soldiers and Sailors Christmas fund", contained a gift of tobacco, cigarettes, chocolate or sweets with a Christmas card.
