Neolithic flint axe from Mancetter, Warwickshire
The item is a cutting from Dugdale's Antiquities of Warwickshire Illustrated (see Bibliography). It accompanied a letter from J O Halliwill to Charles Knight Watson (Primeval Antiquities 12.1).The engraving shows a Neolithic flint axe, the tip polished, found with other flints in the Roman fort of Mancetter, Warwickshire.
