Harness, hame
A hame is the rigid frame of a horse's harness and would be attached to a padded leather collar. These two steel hames, marked ‘Made in England’ and ‘Warranted Lion Brand Steel’, are joined at the top by a leather strap with a brass buckle, and at the bottom by an iron chain.
