Portrait of Philip IV, King of Spain
The finely executed copper engraving was made after a painting by Peter Paul Rubens and is attributed to the Flemish, Antwerp-based engraver Paul Pontius (1603 - 1658).\nKing Philip IV. (1605 - 1665) was a great patron of art and poetry. He arranged for the employment of Diego Velázquez as court painter in 1623.\nText: A. Rasche
