Brown waistcoat, part of a theatre costume

Part of the costume of an old Druze man (applies to numbers 26 to 32 of this series). The costume was worn during a theatrical performance at the World Fair in Antwerp in 1894 entitled 'Le drame d'Anthar. Le Fameux Héros Arabe.' The play was divided in 3 acts and performed in the 'théatre Oriental au quartier Syrien'.
