Medieval chasuble
The photograph shows the front of a chasuble, which is hanging on a stand. The ground fabric is a rich brocade design of large foliage, and the embroidered centre panel (orphrey) has coats of arms alternating with the heads of saints (Saint Mary Magdalene and Saint Catherine of Alexandria).
